P&V Group (Insurance, Belgium) - Papyrus Transformation

Re-design an existing solution

Original implementation is heavily customized (framework overwrites, class duplication), contains redundant code (hard to maintain) and unnecessary execution points.

Challenge

• Original implementation is heavily customized (framework overwrites, class duplication), contains redundant code (hard to maintain) and unnecessary execution points.

• The environment experiences frequent outages and is often slow to react.

• Service Desk is unable to monitor the environment and check request statuses, causing a reactive service instead of a proactive one.

• Problem investigation and resolution is handled only by Papyrus consultants, locking resources in tasks that could be handled by Service Desk directly.

Proposed Solution

Papyrus Environment Refactoring in version 7.21

Expected Gains

• Better solution maintainability

• Improve system stability

• Better performance and resource usage

• Better user experience

• New tools to better service the system
